Location

The property is located in St Sernin de Duras, less than 10km from Duras. Near the edge of the department, it is only a very short drive into both the Dordogne and the Gironde

The House

Le Bourg is a roomy house with 2 bedrooms, both with double beds and an additional mezzanine bedroom with twin beds above the lounge. The larger downstairs bedroom has an en suite bathroom and has French doors leading directly into the orchard. Further to this, the house has a main bathroom fully equipped kitchen, a dining room and a lounge with UK television.

The Exterior

The grounds extend to half an acre and include lawns, a swimming pool. The pool boasts an undercover changing area with a heated shower, a toilet and a barbecue. Outside lighting makes it possible to swim after dark.

Table tennis and darts can be enjoyed in the barn and there is also a weekly boule (know locally as 'petanque') competition in the village.

Access

Bergerac Airport is the most local airport and has flights from Stansted, Southampton and Bristol. There are also flights from Gatwick, Norwich and Birmingham to Bordeaux. Car hire is available at the airports.

Crossing by ferry/Euro Tunnel can be done in a day: 400 miles from Caen and 600 miles from Calais.
